Adele Just Confirmed She’s Married to Rich Paul

While many of us have been wondering whether Adele and her longtime partner Rich Paul tied the knot earlier this year following a pet name slip-up back in September, it seems the singer has finally set the record straight on their relationship status — well, kind of. 

According to The Times, Adele confirmed that she is, in fact, married to Paul on Monday night in the most Adele way possible: by heckling a friend during his comedy show. The A-lister reportedly broke the news while sitting in the audience of her friend Alan Carr’s stand-up show, per attendees who detailed the interaction on social media. 

At one point during the show, Carr asked the audience if anyone had recently gotten married, causing Adele to exclaim, “I did!” While further details surrounding the engagement and alleged nuptials have yet to be revealed, the announcement comes just months after she first referred to the sports agent as her “husband” during a concert on her Las Vegas residency.

“You can't marry me, I'm straight, my love,” the Grammy winner said when fielding questions from the audience during a September concert. “And my husband's here tonight. He's here.”

Adele and Paul were first linked to one another in July 2021, when they attended Game 5 of the NBA Finals together. They eventually went on to confirm their relationship with an Instagram-official snap two months later, marking the start of their now 2-year relationship.

The singer has long been vocal about her love for Paul, telling Elle U.K. in 2022, “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him. I definitely want more kids.”
