One of my favorite ways to jazz up an outfit is with a fun print. While I do think of myself as a minimalist when it comes to pieces I gravitate towards, I love a print that can take a look to the next level. If you are someone who’s not afraid to stand out, a bold motif on a sweater or bottoms is a great way to make a statement. But if you aren’t sure how to mix and match prints, you can add a simple pop of pattern with your accessories, so it’s not so overwhelming.
If you’re interested in adding a bold print to your fall closet lineup but don’t know where to start, Amazon has curated a prints storefront with premium brands like Blanknyc, Madewell, and more. I went through and chose six printed styles and accessories I’ll be adding to my wardrobe ASAP, including the cozy mixed media jacket I already own:
- Madewell Market Bucket Bag, $88
- Line and Dot Ariel Sweater, $104
- Blanknyc Sweater Jacket, $188
- PS by Paul Smith Cropped Flared Pants, $280
- PS by Paul Smith Crew Neck Sweater, $395
- Aire Abstraction Sunglasses, $49
I can’t wait for the weather to cool down enough so I can start wearing this Blanknyc Sweater Jacket. Many outerwear pieces are usually all in one color or fabric, but the pattern and texture of this jacket sets them apart and takes any outfit up a notch. I style it over jeans and a T-shirt, or even alongside cozier fits like sweatpants and sweatshirts for a bit of visual interest. Every time I wear it, I always get so many compliments.
The mixed media jacket features a contrasting black and white printed knit yoke on both the front and back and a soft teddy-like texture throughout. There’s a zipper and snap front closure, an adjustable drawstring at the hem, and two spacious pockets. The oversized outerwear comes in four sizes, including from XS to to XL.

The first thing that may come to mind when thinking about prints is something bold like animal print. While I love a good cheetah print, stripes are actually a fun print that’s easy to style, and can mix and match well with many other pieces in your wardrobe. For example, this Line and Dot Ariel Sweater can be paired with jeans, trousers, a midi skirt, or even over a silk maxi dress. It's a neutral-colored print with a timeless silhouette that's perfect for fall.
Available in sizes XS through L, the striped sweater has a ribbed texture design, a folded turtleneck, and a mid-weight density that's great for chillier days. It also features an A-line silhouette with a split hem at both sides, dropped shoulders, and a balloon sleeve.

If you struggle with styling prints, an easy way to add some visual interest is with accessories. This Market Bucket Bag from Madewell that includes this fall-ready gingham print was meant for autumn outings where it can be filled with mini pumpkins and hand-picked apples.
The woven checkered bag features a handle long enough to be worn over the shoulder, contrasting leather trim, a spacious main compartment, and a magnetic snap closure.
