Last night at the Golden Globes, we were able to get a small taste of what the world was like before we stayed in sweats all day. Many celebrities traded stretchy waistbands for fabulous red carpet gowns and suits, and while we admittedly struggled to see them in all their glory during blurry video calls, there were plenty of photo shoots that gave us a closer, more detailed look.
For instance, as The Crown's Gillian Anderson accepted her Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, we didn't immediately realize how intricate and beautiful her Dior Haute Couture gown truly was. But, after the fashion house gave InStyle a behind-the-scenes peek at the design process, showing us how the whole piece was stitched together? We were able to get the full picture — and, whoa, it's really something else.
Anderson's Spring 2021 look was made up of a gold lamé gauze that was hand-pleated and included gold Chantilly lace inlays and velvet plastron. Clearly, this wasn't just another, simple red carpet dress, but a full work of art, so scroll on through to get a good look. It's quite a contrast from the PJs we're wearing right now.
