Olivia Colman, queen of Oscar speeches and, well, playing queens (The Favourite and The Crown), has arrived at the 94th Academy Awards ready to reign over the red carpet.
The Oscar-winning actress wore a stunning metallic silver pleated gown with a high neckline, exaggerated sleeves, a belted midsection, and a flowing A-line skirt. She accessorized with diamond drop earrings and matching rings, and her hair was styled into an updo with a deep side part swept across her forehead. She was joined by her husband, Ed Sinclair, on the carpet.
Last year, Olivia attended the 93rd Academy Awards, which took place at Union Station in Los Angeles, in a red turtleneck Dior dress with matching pointy-toe heels with rhinestone embellishments.
This year, the actress is nominated in the best actress in a leading role category for her work in The Lost Daughter. The movie, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, is also nominated tonight for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Jessie Buckley).
Olivia took home the best actress award once before in 2019 for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite. She accepted her award in a frazzled state of shock with the most endearing speech. "This is genuinely quite stressful," she proclaimed as she looked out at the crowd. "This is hilarious!"
Here's hoping for another iconic acceptance speech from Olivia tonight.
