When it comes to the game of fashion, experimentation is essential. From Gisele Bündchen’s borderline-unrecognizable shot in a cherry-red buzzcut for the cover of Vogue Italia to Julia Fox’s wildly chaotic look entirely made out of condoms — we’ve seen it all and we’re practically unfazed at this point. But leave it to Bella Hadid to do the unthinkable in a head-turning, totally unrecognizable way.
On Saturday, Marc Jacobs unveiled its Heaven by Marc Jacobs Fall 2023 campaign starring the one and only Bella Hadid. Fronting the sci-fi-inspired campaign, the supermodel completely stripped down and transformed into a bald A.I. robot (yes, you read that correctly). In the shots, Bella slipped into several ready-to-wear pieces and accessories from the new Kiki Group, which was inspired by the iconic and beloved Kiki Boot.
Perhaps the most jaw-dropping shot photographed by Carlijn Jacobs and styled by Danielle Emerson was Bella sporting an armor-like lingerie featuring a metal breastplate and a matching high-waisted thong with a coordinating silver abstract headpiece. Celebrating the cult favorite Kiki Boot she teamed the head-turning look with sky-high black satin platform Mary Janes with the classic buckle.
In yet another futuristic image, Bella posed completely nude and debuted pencil-thin brows in just a silver ear cuff. And when you thought it couldn’t get any more bizarre, the shot showed a silver tentacle growing out of her spine.
Elsewhere in the collection, Bella modeled a gray denim two-piece set featuring an off-the-shoulder zip-up long-sleeve crop top with matching low-rise jeans. A silver chain “heaven” necklace, a see-through face mask, and metallic chrome nails rounded out her look.
The Kiki Group collection, debuting this month, will feature the brand's signature Kiki Boot in black and baby pink satin, along with tops, miniskirts, and bags in satin with the brand's classic buckle detailing.
