Billie Eilish is switching up her look once again. Two months after debuting platinum blonde hair, the singer took her head-turning transformation a step further, and traded in her signature baggy clothes for a custom Gucci corset and latex gloves on the cover of British Vogue.
The queen of comfort dressing showed off her body for the publication's June cover story, dressing up in lingerie similar to what was worn by 1950s pin-up models. According to the magazine, the theme was Billie's idea, and she collaborated closely with the team to develop a series of "classic, old-timey" looks from designers, including Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Burberry.
Elsewhere in the issue, Billie can be seen wearing a black sheer Mugler catsuit with high heels, and in another shot, she pairs a nude corseted body with matching thigh-high stockings, offering a glimpse at the tattoo she previously told fans they'd never get to see.
In her interview, Billie said that she expects a lot of reactions regarding her new look, but she made it abundantly clear that she isn't dressing to please anyone but herself. "My thing is that I can do whatever I want," she explained. "The more the internet and the world care about somebody that's doing something they're not used to, they put it on such a high pedestal that then it's even worse."
She continued, "Suddenly you're a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you're easy and you're a slut and you're a whore. If I am, then I'm proud. Me and all the girls are hoes, and f—k it, y'know? Let's turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin – or not – should not take any respect away from you."
