It's been more than ten months since lockdown began, and it appears as if Cardi B has caught a case of quarantine fashion fatigue. With unlimited access to the latest runway looks, but nowhere to wear them, the rapper decided to leave the sweats at home and turned an ordinary shopping trip into a red carpet-worthy moment.
Over the weekend, Cardi hit up Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles wearing a Pierre-Louis Auvray dress with a woman's naked silhouette printed onto its semi-sheer fabric. The avant-garde piece — which also featured a knit neckline and cap sleeves — was positioned perfectly in line with Cardi's own body, creating the ultimate optical illusion.
Her tattoos and a black thong were exposed underneath, and she accessorized with a coordinating red face mask and studded YSL heels.
The next day, Cardi showed off her daring ensemble on Instagram, captioning a photo of herself and Offset: "Majin Bub & Goku." She also posted a video that provided a 360-degree view of the outfit, as she hopped into her Rolls Royce.
"Enjoy life," Cardi wrote alongside the short clip. We're taking notes.
