These Are the Celebrity Babies We Welcomed in 2021

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney

TMZ reports that Olivia Munn welcomed her first child on Nov. 24. Neither Munn nor John Mulaney have commented officially on the news, though Page Six reports that Mulaney announced the pregnancy during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

"We're having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news," he said. "I'm gonna be a dad!"

Munn kept most of her pregnancy out of the spotlight.

"It's hard to be pregnant for the first time and have anybody say anything besides, like, 'Congratulations,'" she told the Los Angeles Times in November. "There's no way anyone could know what any of [Mulaney's] relationships were or what our relationship is."

Freida Pinto and Cory Tran

Freida Pinto is officially a mom. The actress welcomed her first child — a boy, Rumi-Ray — with her husband and photographer Cory Tran. The couple announced their son's arrival, which just so happened to be on Tran's birthday, on Instagram on Sunday evening.

"Happy Birthday Dada Cory! I celebrate you my husband, friend and partner in life. To see you become not just a Dad but Super-Dad makes me so emotional and fills me with joy. It also gives this sleep deprived Mama a break and you have no idea how much I appreciate that! I am so grateful and in love with how we do life together. Love you madly," Pinto wrote alongside a photo of newborn sleeping on his dad's chest, adding: "Rumi-Ray you are one lucky boy!" In the second snapshot of the slideshow, Freida and her baby boy are pictured snuggling cheek to cheek.

Tran shared the same two photos on his grid, writing: "Best birthday gift you could ever ask for. Thank you for our sweet boy. I'm in awe of you more and more every day. Watching you give birth to Rumi-Ray was truly a miracle, you are such a warrior."

KJ Apa and Clara Berry

Riverdale star KJ Apa is now a father. The actor and model Clara Berry, welcomed their son on Sept. 23. Berry shared the announcement to Instagram on Sept. 26.

"Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, born on the 23rd of September," she wrote alongside a photo of their baby boy's hand holding onto her finger. "He is a perfect perfection. I am the luckiest to have now two men of my life, filling my heart with this cosmic gigantic vast love. ❤️‍🔥 "

Apa also reposted the photo to his Instagram story. This is the couple's first child together, and they were initially romantically linked back in August 2020.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Another royal baby has graced the world with its presence, marking Queen Elizabeth's 12th grandchild. Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on Saturday (Sept. 18).

The queen's granddaughter took to Twitter to share the baby's arrival. "So delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London," the tweet read. "Thank you to the Midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care."

Buckingham Palace also released a statement sharing that the baby was healthy and weighing in at "6 pounds and 2 ounces." She joins Mozzi's son Christopher Woolf, whom he shares with his ex Dara Huang.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons

Kirsten Dunst confirmed that she secretly welcomed her second child with husband Jesse Plemons — a baby boy — four months ago. She announced her son's arrival in an interview with the New York Times published on Friday (Sept. 10).

"This is the newest guy, the Big Kahuna," Dunst said of her family's new addition, James Roberts, who weighs 18 pounds. "He's an angel, but he's a hungry angel. And a heavy angel."

She went on to add that she's in a "really special place" with a toddler and a baby at home. "I'm so tired, I haven't slept through the night in four months," she said. "I've developed an eye twitch, too."

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt announced the arrival of her son Aidan James with a lighthearted Instagram post. The black-and-white photo shows fun stickers on her pregnant belly and her caption explains that the art came courtesy her other two kids, Autumn James and Atticus James.

"Well this is how my kids sent me to the hospital. My belly was a big hit," Hewitt wrote.

Hewitt announced her pregnancy back in May 2021, saying that she always wanted a third child, but didn't expect one to come during a pandemic.

"We had always been open to a third, but definitely didn't think in the crazy year that the entire world was having that it would necessarily be this moment," she said.

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender

Alicia Vikander confirmed that she and husband Michael Fassbender welcomed their first child together earlier this year.

"I now have a whole new understanding of life in general," she told People. "That's pretty beautiful, and obviously will give a lot to any of my work in the future."

The couple got married in October 2017 and Vikander mentioned that she would continue to do her best to keep her child out of the spotlight. Their child hasn't been photographed yet and the new parents haven't offered any details on exactly when the baby arrived.

Cardi B and Offset

Cardi B has welcomed her second child with husband Offset.

She announced the happy news on Instagram with a photo from her hospital bed — in full glam — holding her baby boy as Offset lovingly looked on. "9/4/21🦕💙🧸," the rapper captioned the sweet family snapshot, revealing her son's birthdate.

"We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son," Cardi told People. "He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."

Emily VanCamp

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier actor and her husband, her Revenge co-star Josh Bowman, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Iris.

They announced her arrival in a black-and-white Instagram post after previously keeping the pregnancy out of the headlines. In addition to a snapshot of Iris's fingers, VanCamp shared two photos from her pregnancy.

VanCamp and Bowman started dating in 2011 and got married in 2018.

"I was coming off of doing two jobs at the same time — I was doing The Falcon and Winter Soldier and The Resident, sort of burning the candle at both ends," VanCamp told People back in April 2021 of spending time with her husband in lockdown. "So the beginning [of lockdown] was very welcome. I was like, 'Okay, I actually get to just sleep for a bit,' which was amazing. Just being able to enjoy the quiet, enjoy my husband and my dog, enjoy being home, things that I hadn't had for a really long time. I did not take that for granted at all. I loved every second of it."

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost

Scarlett Johansson welcomed her second child and first with husband Colin Jost on August 18, 2021.

Though she never publicly confirmed her pregnancy, Jost broke the news on Instagram with a straightforward text post sharing that they named their new son Cosmo.

"Ok ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much," he wrote.

Halsey

Singer Halsey (real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) announced the arrival of their first child, Ender Ridley Aydin.

They posted a photo with their boyfriend, producer, director, and screenwriter Alev Aydin, on Monday, July 19, writing, "Gratitude. For the most "rare" and euphoric bsirth. Powered by love."

Ender arrived in July 14. Halsey announced that they were pregnant back in January 2021.

"It's wonderful to celebrate something with you all after years of sharing all the sad stuff. And just so we're aware, if it wasn't for COVID, I woulda done the tour pregnant," they wrote on Twitter at the time.

Ilana Glazer

Broad City's Ilana Glazer welcomed her first baby with her husband, David Rooklin, and announced it with, appropriately enough, a joke. In an Instagram post on July 19, Glazer shared that she gave birth three weeks ago and has been wearing compression sock sand breastfeeding since.

"Been breastfeedin in compression socks for the past 3 weeks, hbu?" she wrote.

Glazer first revealed her pregnancy during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in March 2021. She and Rooklin got married back in 2017.

Gal Gadot

Gadot and her husband, Yaron Varsano, announced that baby no. 3 arrived with an Instagram post on June 29, 2021. The little girl, Daniella, is the couple's third daughter, joining 4-year-old Maya and 9-year-old Alma.

"My sweet family [...] I couldn't be more grateful and happy (and tired) we are all so excited to welcome Daniella into our family," she wrote with a handful of celebratory emoji. "I'm sending all of you love and health. GG"

Alexa and Carlos PenaVega have welcomed their third child together, a baby girl named Rio.

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli have welcomed their first child together. On Instagram, Wiley posted a mother's day tribute with a photo of their new addition, a daughter named George.

Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is a mom. The "Love Me Like You Do" singer and husband Caspar Jopling welcomed their first child to the world on May 2. "Mum and baby both healthy and happy :) Extremely grateful," Jopling wrote on his Instagram story. "I don't ever address the public attention that comes with Ellie's job. But during this magical and personal moment we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy..Thank you x."

The couple tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in September 2019.

Lauren Bush Lauren and her husband, David Lauren, welcomed their third son together, Robert Rocky Lauren. She shared a full photo on Instagram (a change from other celebrities only giving partial peeks at their new arrivals), as did David.

On April 5th, Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin welcomed a son, Dakota Song Culkin. "We're overjoyed," the couple told Esquire.

Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding and wife Liv Lo Golding have welcomed their first child together.

Emma Stone and her writer-director husband Dave McCary reportedly welcomed their first child together on March 13.

The ultra-private couple wed (in secret) this past September after more than three years together.

Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French welcomed their first child together. Tisdale announced the news on Instagram with a sweet photo of her baby's hands.

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Zara Tindall has welcomed her third child with her husband Mike Tindall. On his podcast, Mike explained that baby Lucas Philip Tindall arrived in a dramatic fashion.

"So, it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get a mat on the floor, towels down, 'brace-brace-brace'," Mike explained after saying that there was not enough time to get to the hospital.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have reportedly welcomed their second child. According to sources for Hello!, Middleton gave birth Monday morning to a daughter, Grace Elizabeth Jane.

"7" she wrote in the caption. In September, Hilaria gave birth to the couple's fifth child, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas in September 2020.

Katharine McPhee welcomed her first child, a son, with her husband, David Foster, on February 24.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Jenny Slate and her fiancé, Ben Shattuck, welcomed a daughter, Ida Lupine, in early February.

Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech

Even though the Riverdale star and MLB player have divorced, a source tells E! News that, "Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well. They're both thrilled."

The new parents welcomed a baby boy in late January, though they didn't reveal his name.
