Ever the optimist, Drew Barrymore made the most of her InStyle cover shoot in quarantine. After doing her own hair and makeup (with input from her two daughters, Olive, 7, and Frankie, 6), the actress, producer, and Flower Beauty founder set up a tripod to photograph herself at home. "I really wanted to get it right," she said.
With Frankie cheering her on behind the camera, Barrymore posed among her favorite flowers (daisies) in sweaters from Etro and Tory Burch as her go-to Spotify dance playlist blasted songs by Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, and Rihanna. Later, for a shot in the backyard, she changed into jeans and a T-shirt before adding another family member to the mix: one of the six chickens she'd adopted early in the pandemic. "I've raised them since they were tiny little babies," she said.
For our August issue, we asked the proud mother hen to fill us in on all of her current obsessions, from the jeans she's living in to her ultimate pantry staple. Scroll down for her favorite things.
