Hailey Bieber Took the Low-Back Trend to the Extreme at the Oscars After-Party

Aside from the usual suspects (sheer gowns, cutouts), backless dresses were a recurring theme at last night's Vanity Fair Oscar party, from Zoë Kravitz's super low scoop to the reverse deep-V worn by Kendall Jenner. But Hailey Bieber is the one who took the trend to a new extreme.

Arriving on the red carpet, Bieber wore a nude Saint Laurent dress featuring side cutouts that wrapped around and left her entire lower back bare. The gown effortlessly draped slightly above her tailbone, before flowing into a full-length skirt with subtle ruching. A giant flower appliqué punctuated the center of her dress, while stacked gold cuffs complemented the garment's color, as did her bronzy makeup.

Hailey wore her brunette hair down, parted down the middle, and in tousled waves.

Earlier this month, Hailey was hospitalized for a blood clot in her brain after suffering "stroke-like symptoms" while eating breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. The supermodel addressed the diagnosis on her Instagram Stories and assured fans that she had fully recovered. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours," she previously revealed. "Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!"
