I take my collection of loafers extremely seriously, so much so I’ve racked up quite the collection (ahem, more than 10 pairs). You may be asking why I have so many loafers, but just like is the case with sneakers, there are various styles, and they serve their own purpose.

My penny loafers are more of a casual everyday style, though they can be dressed up easily when paired with trousers. I wear my platform loafers more socially or whenever  I’m going out, as they’re a bit more of a statement. Pro tip: I often refer to Hailey Bieber’s Instagram when styling my chunkiest loafers, or any loafer, for that matter, as her assortment is *chef’s kiss*. Whenever I want to switch things up, a loafer mule is my go-to, for the obvious reason that they’re so easy to put on.

If you’re wondering which loafers I recommend, given I’m a self-proclaimed expert on the footwear, I decided to round up seven from my coveted collection that I can’t live without. Shop my go-to pairs from Aldo, Amazon, Nordstrom, Reformation, with prices starting at $36.

I call my Sam Edelman Linnie Mules my slipper loafers — business in the front, slip-on in the back. I love pairing these with chunky socks and classic mom jeans. They come in 11 colors, including matte and shiny black, silver, gold, white, and pink, and in sizes 4 through 14. The footwear features a faux-leather lining, dainty gold plated hardware, cushioned insole with a decorative scalloped edge, and a humble heel that’s so easy to walk in.

My personal favorite is a penny loafer like this Eastland option, which I’ll get to later on. But still, on occasion, I do want something that offers some height, which is when I usually reach for this ultra-chunky option from Aldo. It comes in black and textured metallic, aka a classic and a trendy pick that’ll spruce up any outfit. It features a smooth, faux-leather exterior, rubber outsole with a lightweight 1-inch platform, and a 1.5-inch heel with great grip and traction. There’s also a plush, removable memory foam insole insert that provides arch support and all-day comfort.

Eastland’s Classic Penny Loafers are my everyday shoes. They were ready to wear straight out of the box, and that’s not always the case with leather loafers. The insoles are supportive and so comfy, I feel like I’m walking on clouds. As an added bonus, the leather doesn’t rub or irritate my skin. The style comes in eight colors, including burgundy, black, navy, and brown, and various width options, too. The loafers have a leather exterior, a rubber outsole with a slight heel that offers good grip and arch support, and a moisture-controlled memory foam insole. Stylish and practical.
