Now that it's officially December, holiday-party season is in full swing — which means, it's time to pull out the velvet dresses, sequined skirts, and sparkly sweaters. But sometimes it's just too cold to even take off your jacket to show off your party-ready ensemble, and in that case, Dua Lipa has you covered.
On Thursday, the pop star attended MoMA's 16th annual “The Contenders” series in New York City and never shed her coat for the entirety of the event — not even on the red carpet — but with a jacket like that, it didn't matter. For the occasion, Dua looked festive in a long black tweed Chanel coat completely covered in sequins and embellished with a row of crystal buttons, making it the main character of her outfit. She accessorized with other holiday-chic details — including a pair of bow-shaped diamond earrings and a silver metallic Chanel purse — while rounding out her look with a pair of black tights and matching heels.
As for glam, Dua wore her fiery red hair in a half-up, half-down style, and added a swipe of shimmery copper eyeshadow and a coordinating peach-colored lip.
This wasn't the only statement outerwear moment for Dua lately. Just a day earlier, she stepped out in a cropped leather jacket with baggy jeans and heels, and hours later, she emerged from her Manhattan hotel in another big black coat — this time, an oversized Maison Margiela midi-length jacket swathed in a dramatic jacquard fabric. She added a patent leather mini bag and a pair of black Mary Jane pumps with white ankle socks layered over sheer tights.
