If you think that an outfit should only have one statement-making piece, let Emily Ratajkowski school you on her very specific brand of more-is-more fashion. The model, mother, and author stepped out in New York City today wearing an over-the-top fuzzy shearling Emma Brewin hat and sky-high chunky platforms. And while mashing up so many standout items might seem like going overboard, she kept things cohesive and cozy by having every part of her outfit stay in neutral shades of black and brown.
Ratajokowski paired her Pamela Anderson-esque hat (Pam's was pink, EmRata's is chestnut brown) with a slouchy, oversized cognac-colored leather jacket. She finished the look with simple black joggers and a pair of distressed brown, knee-high boots with a huge stacked platform. She finished the ensemble with oval Miu Miu sunglasses and wore her chocolate-brown hair straight.
While today's 'fit seems very appropriate for the temps in NYC right now, Ratajkowski was wearing a plunging, deep-V dress just yesterday for some snowy festivities. After sharing a mirror selfie in the simple yet sexy LBD (she paired it with soft pink lipstick and otherwise very subtle glam) on her Instagram Stories, she posted a clip of herself and a few friends frolicking in the snow. Her pointy boots may not have been the most practical footwear for the situation, but she and her pals seemed to have a great time as the snow fell around them.
