Street style pro Emily Ratajkowski is throwing us a curveball that may just give everyone the perfect formula for transitional dressing. That's exactly what Ratajkowski did, pairing a long-sleeved white ankle-length body-con dress with a pair of hefty black boots.

For one of the model's signature New York strolls, she proved that there's a way to bring even the most seasonal-feeling piece, like a white dress that's full of lacy holes, into unexpected territory. The boots grounded the outfit with their dark color and low heel and Ratajkowski finished the look with a matching black bag and a pair of tiny sunglasses. She carried a brown paper bag in one hand and held up the skirt of her dress in the other, keeping the hem from dragging on the NYC streets.

Though the dress wasn't entirely see-through, there were peeks of her black underwear visible, including a thong that she showed off on her Instagram Stories earlier in the day.

EmRata's white 'fit was in stark contrast to yesterday's ensemble, which brought together an oversized sweatshirt with an even bigger, boxier jacket on top. She wore similarly sleek and stealthy sunglasses (from David Beckham Eyewear by Safilo) for the West Village outing, too, and finished it off with a pair of dad-approved sneakers from New Balance and faded black jeans.
