Upon reading about or watching a video on a celebrity’s beauty routine, I sometimes find that we have a product in common. But in watching Jennifer Garner’s recent Vogue video, I realized our beauty routines look pretty similar.
Garner’s “Quick as Possible” routine includes 15 products, four of which I use regularly (plus two from some of my go-to brands: Yse and Virtue). These include Westman Atelier’s Vital Skin Foundation and I Want You Mascara, Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream, and Byredo’s Gypsy Water perfume.
If there’s one makeup product that comes to mind when I think of Jennifer Garner, it’s Westman Atelier’s Vital Skin Foundation. She previously told Allure that she was on her second bottle, and in this video, she calls it her “favorite thing.” She holds up the tube and continues, “I have a couple of them, that’s how serious I am. If I use it up, I get another one.”
Jennifer Garner’s emphatic praise for this formula is well-deserved. The foundation is also a concealer and color-corrector, all wrapped into one small and chic package that comes in 28 shades. I love it for the way it looks seamless, whether it's targeted on spots as a concealer or all over my face as a subtle yet skin-perfecting foundation.
Right after Garner applies the Westman Atelier foundation, she reaches for Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream. The actress learned “the importance of bronzer” while doing her own makeup during COVID-19. She dips a brush into the Chanel bronzing cream and applies it up her neck and onto her face. When she’s done, she remarks, “Ooh look who’s coming to life!”
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Chanel is in a league of its own when it comes to bronzer. I used to think the product wasn’t for me until I gave in to the more than well-deserved hype. This Chanel bronzer truly revives my skin, especially when it becomes dull and pale in the winter. The cream, almost mousse-like bronzer, begins soft and subtle and can be amped up with additional layers. Its finish is matte but not dry, and it never creases or sinks into my pores or lines.
While Garner’s foundation and bronzer are absolutely vital to my beauty routine, I can’t forget about two products I also love: the Westman Atelier Eye Want You Mascara and Byredo Gypsy Water Perfume. The former opens up my eyes and makes my lashes look fluttery and thick, yet natural, and is also used by Anne Hathaway. The latter was my signature scent for nearly a decade and is still an oft-used fragrance in my perfume wardrobe. Shop these Jennifer Garner-approved picks below.
