Mark your calendars: Jennifer Lopez's visual album, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, is set to hit Prime Video on Feb. 16, just a few days after Valentine's Day. And ahead of that momentous occasion, Lopez and Prime Video dropped the first official trailer for the project — and the star is surrounded by a cadre of her famous friends. The film accompanies Lopez's new album, This Is Me ... Now, and if the visuals are any clue to the mood and vibe of the release as a whole, fans can expect a rollercoaster ride of sonic emotion.
"I know what they say about me, about hopeless romantics, that we're weak," Lopez says at the start of the trailer. "I'm not weak." The shot later cuts to Lopez on a motorcycle and then shots of her getting engaged, at a wedding, and more. Of course, there's also plenty of dancing. Viewers get glimpses of Derek Hough, Lopez's husband Ben Affleck, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, though an official press release from Prime Video lists a full lineup of celeb cameos, including Trevor Noah, Kim Petras, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Jay Shetty, and more.
The trailer also includes shots of Lopez back in the Bronx, where she famously grew up.
"I learned the hard way not all love stories have a happy ending," she says while standing on a train platform in Castle Hill. And in a moment that blends pop music and pop philosophy, she adds, "Whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always in love."
Lopez celebrated the trailer's release on Instagram, writing, "I have not been this nervous, excited, scared and thrilled to share something with you in years!! The story of the journey from This Is Me …Then to This Is Me … Now is the most personal thing I’ve ever done."
