Now that Libra season is here, it's time for the zodiac's airiest fashion lover to shine — not that they don't the rest of the year.
"Libra is ruled by Venus," says astrology expert and author Lisa Stardust. "Venus is the planet of fashion, beauty, and everything that makes us feel pretty and confident." Libra is an air sign, and Stardust describes their relationship to fashion as "a little bit more robust and a bit more unfiltered." In other words: Libra is a fashion girlie, through and through.
Libras tend to take more fashion risks than Tauruses, a sign also ruled by Venus. Like Leos, they love to make a splash with their looks, but they're more refined than flashy. While they love color and luxury designers, they prefer to draw admiring eyes because of their cleverly coordinated and perfectly tailored ensembles as opposed to over-the-top looks. "Libras really like to engage in conversations about fashion. They like to understand fashion," Stardust adds. So, while they might know the ins and outs of any given season's hottest trends, they won't deviate from their preferred aesthetic.
Although all Libras won't gravitate to the exact same looks, there are some fashion rules this sign tends to live by. "Everything that they wear is very manicured and very refined," Stardust explains. You're also not likely to find a Libra creating intentionally clashing in their outfits. Instead, everything will be perfectly coordinated, from their socks to their sunglasses (see: Kim Kardashian, a Libra).
Ahead, we've rounded up 14 Libra outfits that meet this sign's exacting standards while also delivering the dreamy colors, accents, and silhouettes beloved by this fashion-forward sign.

Blue Velvet
Equal parts elegance and edge, "a navy or blue velvet suit is a very Libra outfit," says Stardust. Look for tailored separates in classic silhouettes and pair with designer accessories, another must-have for Libras.
A Colorblocked Dress
"Libras are into colorblocking for sure," Stardust shares. If you want to try this trend, opt for a single statement piece, like a long-sleeved maxidress, rather than coordinated pieces, for optimal impact.
Refined Ruffles
"Libras, to me, are very ruffly people," Stardust says. As with all things Libra, refinement is key, and the air sign is more likely to gravitate toward a classic silhouette when working in a ruffle moment.
Subdued Hues
Whereas Leo is all about the flash, Libra is a bit more refined with fashion choices, explains Stardust. "They're not going to wear a bright red jacket," she says. But a lavender version of that same jacket? "Very Libra."
A Peek of Lace
Libra's tastes also extend into feminine and sultry details. "A Libra would wear a lace top with the same color pants and jacket to cover it," Stardust says.
Mixed Monochrome
Libras love a monochrome moment, but there will still be a main focal point — have to get the people talking, right? "They like to wear items that are the same colors together, but then they like to take one big, bold thing," Stardust explains. Think: a pale-colored coat with similarly toned, but not exactly matching gloves.
Coordinated Accessories
"Accessorizing is very important. The whole look has to go together," says Stardust. Equally important are quality and coordination — down to the socks. "Libras like to make everything match from their heads to their toes," Stardust says.
Here for Sheer
Sheer dressing is another trend sure to delight Libras. This sign loves a flirty moment, after all, and sheer might just be the flirtiest trend of them all.
All Black with a Pop
Much like a monochrome look, Libras love an all-black outfit (their birthdays are Spooky Season-adjacent, after all). But they add in little oomph with a luxurious statement bag in a vibrant color. Wondering what specific color would speak to a Libra? As fans and followers of fashion, Stardust expects this sign would most enjoy whatever shade stood on recent runways. This season, we're thinking that means red.
A Shift Dress
When it comes to fall dresses, one silhouette in particular stands out to Stardust. "A little shift dress in blue is very Libra," she says.
A Sartorial Surprise
Unlike other signs that wear their statement fashion, well, on their sleeves, "Libras like to definitely make a statement with some of the items that they're wearing, but [sometimes] you have to look for it," says Stardust. "An example would be a black jacket with bright contrasting lining."
Petal-Like Outerwear
While most folks switch to moodier color palettes in fall and winter, Libras don't care to deviate from their favorite shade when it comes to outerwear. According to Stardust, "They're the type of people that would wear pale pink or purple in the fall." Noted!
Black and Tan
Libra is basically quiet luxury in a sign. Their love of high-end and sophisticated fashion means Libras will likely adore a luxurious neutral outfit featuring black and tan or camel components. "It would be a very Libra thing to wear a camel skirt with black tights, a black sweater, a black coat, and black shoes."
A Coat Dress
A little vintage-inspired and a lot glam, Libras are likely to consider a timeless coat dress a worthwhile investment.
