Drew Barrymore is one of those celebrities who you can actually relate to. She’s not afraid to be a little goofy, finds joy in simplicity, and doesn’t shy away from budget shopping. Barrymore is also more than okay stepping out in comfy, casual clothes — and that’s something I can definitely get behind.
Just the other day, Barrymore was spotted on the streets of New York City wearing an oversized, cozy ‘fit. The actress sported a large yellow sweatshirt, plaid puffy coat, and satin-like scarf. It honestly looked like she pulled everything right out of her dresser, not giving her ensemble much thought — and I mean that in the best way possible, of course. And, as if this look didn’t already make me fall more in love with Barrymore, her shoes took it home.

Barrymore wore a pair of classic crocs, turning the often divisive shoes into a staple. Of course, she added her own twist, making them feel a bit more feminine by opting for a soft lavender hue. And I’m not saying she personally went on Amazon to secure her own pair, but they are available there for 25 percent off right now.
I’m going to be real with you, I’ve never, ever worn Crocs in my life. But, I grew up around the clogs, with my friends donning them left and right. I even have a co-worker who swears by the slip-ons and the little fun shoe charms (or, should I say Jibbitz?). But still, I always wrote them off as shoes that “weren’t for me.” Well, Barrymore may have changed my opinion, because I’m now fully convinced I need a pair.
Not only has Barrymore changed this fashion editor’s opinion, but the once-controversial Crocs really are practical, further adding to their appeal. Choose your favorite color (extra points if you go for Barrymore’s purple shade), to match them with your favorite outfits. No matter which hue you go with, you can look forward to comfortable, lightweight shoes that are airy, water-resistant, and easy to clean. Best of all, you can wear them everywhere and with everything, whether that’s some boyfriend jeans to a lunch, an oversized sweatshirt while reading in a cafe, or cozy pajamas while cleaning the home.
