Tributes to Matthew Perry in the wake of his death are still trickling in from his Friends co-stars. Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani alongside Perry's Chandler Bing on the beloved NBC sitcom, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram along with various snapshots from the show's decade-long run. Perry passed away last month and the Friends cast issued a joint statement shortly after. LeBlanc's message today reiterated many of the sentiments that he and his cast mates shared with that message. Back on Nov. 4, the surviving cast members reunited to attend Perry's funeral in Los Angeles.
"Matthew," he started the caption. "It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life."
"It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never."
"Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love," LeBlanc finished. "And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."
Back on Oct. 30, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer let fans know that no matter what, they would always be a family and that they were "devastated" by the death of their friend.
"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement to People read. "There is so much to say, but right now, we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."
"In time, we will say more, as and when we are able," the statement continued. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
