Barack Obama Shared the Sweetest Tribute for Michelle's 60th Birthday

Let's all wish a very happy birthday to former first lady Michelle Obama, who is turning 60 today. For the occasion, her husband, the former President of the United States, shared the sweetest photo to celebrate, and the pure joy we're getting from the snapshot could be enough to get us all through the rest of the week. In the photo, which Barack shared on X, Michelle can be seen wearing a flowing spaghetti-strap dress and soaking up the golden-hour sunshine. She has her hair in long braids and finished the look with hoop earrings.

While Barack didn't tag exactly where (or when) the photo was taken, the backdrop includes what appears to be a tropical paradise, and Michelle is taking it all in just steps away from a swimming pool, so wherever it is, we'd like to go there as soon as possible.

For her part, Michelle also wished Barack a happy birthday on his big day back in August when he turned 62.

“Happy birthday to my favorite thoughtful guy,” Obama wrote in a post that was also shared on X. “Love you, always, @BarackObama,” she said, with a snapshot of the ex-president striking a pensive pose. Obama Foundation supporters also received a birthday-themed email, which encouraged them to share “a note to Barack about how you’re making a difference in your community” or to make “a contribution to the Obama Foundation to help us empower the next generation of leaders and bring the Obama Presidential Center to life."

"Being a part of Barack’s birthday celebration will mean so much to him, so please, leave a note or make a gift today," the message finished.
