The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Are Returning to Canada This Fall

Get ready, because the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are headed across the pond! Prince William and Kate Middleton have accepted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s invitation to visit Canada in honor of the country's upcoming 150th anniversary. Kensington Palace announced that the royals will visit North America this fall.

“They will visit British Columbia and the territory of Yukon as part of their tour,” they wrote on social media. “The Duke and Duchess are delighted to be returning to Canada. They hold very happy memories from their visit in 2011 – their first overseas tour as a married couple.”

“They are really looking forward to seeing other parts of this beautiful country and having the opportunity to meet many more Canadians along the way.”

Their first visit to Canada came just months after their gorgeous wedding in 2011. The couple visited seven cities and five provinces, including Prince Edward Island, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Quebec, and Ontario, with a stop in Ottawa.

Further details on the exact dates and itinerary of their upcoming tour have yet to be announced, as well as if their adorable children Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be joining them for the trip.

While George wasn’t invited on their trip to India and Bhutan this spring because he was “too naughty,” here’s to hoping this now 3-year-old and his little sister are well-behaved enough by the fall to travel to Canada with their parents.

We can only imagine what adorable photos this trip will bring, whether or not George and Charlotte come along for the ride.
