Monsters, assemble! Lady Gaga announced over the weekend that she would be filming scenes for her upcoming movie—a remake ofA Star is Born—at Coachella. The best part? She wants her fans to help!
Los Angeles Times reports that on Sunday morning Coachella's mobile app users were notified of the opportunity to appear as extras in a scene being filmed on the festival's grounds alongside pop star and her co-star Bradley Cooper. The shoot is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday (April 18 and 19) at 11 a.m. PT.
"The scenes for these days will portray a Country Western music concert," the announcement reads. "All you Monsters that can attend should get decked out in your most comfortable denim & boots, throw on a Stetson (leave those pink Joanne hats at home) and come out to show your support!"
A Star Is Born centers on a troubled movie actor and the aspiring actress he helped find fame. Fredric March and Janet Gaynor played the original starring roles in 1937, and the movie was made twice more after that, with Judy Garland and James Mason leading the 1954 version, and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson last playing the characters in the 1976 reboot.
