Madonna Totally Fangirls Over President Obama—See Her Photos

President Obama’s much-anticipated first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs tonight and POTUS knocked another item off his presidential bucket list in the process of filming it: meeting Madonna. Her Madgesty took to Instagram Wednesday to show how she totally fangirled over the president when she met him backstage.

The Material Girl shared a snap of herself standing in awe as Obama approached her. “For Once I'm Speechless ... President Obama,” she captioned the photo.

Luckily, it looks like Madonna eventually found the words to say to him, as she shared another picture of the two embracing. “A meeting of the [Leos]! A Cosmic Convergence!!” she wrote on Instagram alongside this smiley snap.

The admiration may go both ways: On Tuesday the singer posted an image that showed the president and First Lady in Madonna concert tees. She tagged the couple in the photo and captioned it, “Aww…You guys are so sweet. See you soon xoxo!”

Obama will appear on Thursday night's historic episode and speak to Fallon about the presidential race, while Madonna will serve as the musical guest.
