First Lady Michelle Obama and First Pups, Sunny and Bo, are hard at work spreading holiday cheer. At a Children's National Medical Center event on Monday, FLOTUS treated a group of pediatric patients to a reading of the Christmas classic "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (aka "'Twas the Night Before Christmas"), and even let the children ask her a few questions about her own gift-giving plans for her family this season.
When one of the kids asked her what she's getting President Obama, the First Lady (in an Etro top) replied candidly. "Another President Christmas-present question," she said with a laugh. "All right, press: Don't tell him. He's going to get some workout stuff. It's not going to be very interesting this year, honey. Sorry."
Hoping to get ideas for a more exciting gift for her husband, the First Lady asked the patient what she should buy him.
"Ties," the little one responded.
"More ties?" Michelle said. "Ties for you, babe."
As for her daughters, Sasha and Malia, she says they've requested cash and their favorite holiday dish: mac and cheese.
