Anyone who lives in Los Angeles knows that driving to the beach can be a treacherous ordeal, and the harrowing traffic between the city and seaside town of Malibu has become a major issue for Katy Perry as of late.

Why? The "Rise" singer's boyfriend Orlando Bloom calls the scenic locale home, and the superstar has come to face her fair share of backups on the stunning Pacific Coast Highway. "My boyfriend lives in Malibu and getting used to that [drive] was, like, 'Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?'" she recently told WWD in an interview. "There’s no pop-over and I never really got used to Malibu ‘cause it’s halfway to Santa Barbara, so I’m always just going to Santa Barbara then. I get the whole coming to L.A. and living by the beach thing. But it’s really…it’s so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you."

But it seems as if Perry was able to move on from the tiny issue, as her and Bloom appear to be going very strong. Last month, the hot Hollywood pair was spotted packing on the PDA during a romantic getaway to Italy where the lovebirds were snapped kissing in the sand and paddle boarding in the crystal clear water.
