Olivia Rodrigo has been sliving this past week while promoting the release of her sophomore album GUTS. For starters, her new music has already been met with high praise since its drop last week (some would even call it the best album of 2023), but she's also used this time to sport a collection of very good lewks, both old and new. Earlier this week, the singer-songwriter shared an Instagram photo dump wearing vintage 1995 Todd Oldham, which you may recognize from Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta's very iconic runway moment.
On Monday, Rodrigo shared yet another carousel with not one, but two little black dresses, neither being your average LBD. The first slide of the gallery gave followers a glimpse at her writing process with a snap of her notebook containing the lyrics to her song "all-american bitch." The next photo showed Rodrigo in one of the LBDs in question: a vintage Betsy Johnson midi dress with colorful floral embroidery. She also held up a sign that read, "I spilled my Guts in New York."
The 'fit that really caught our attention, though, was a shimmery and sheer Versace minidress (from Dua Lipa's collection with the designer) covered in bedazzled butterfly appliqués — including two pasties. The chainmail frock's straps had buckle detailing and one solid black band wrapped around her back. In one photo, she wore the piece while making a champagne toast with a friend, while in another, she posed in a stairway showing off the full outfit. Matching ankle-breaking platform sandals and a smattering of rings completed the look. Her long, glossy hair was styled in a middle part and gentle waves, and her glam consisted of feathered lashes, a bronzy complexion, and a beige lip.
The roundup also included a video from constructing a song with a fellow musician who played the guitar and a clip of TikToker Ricks Legend dancing in the rain to her song "logical."
"4 days since I spilled my GUTS 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮," she captioned the post.
