I love being ahead of the bandwagon on beauty brands and products. The minute famed makeup artist Gucci Westman launched Westman Atelier, I was singing its praises. Every single product launch has been chef’s kiss, but my favorite so far? The Vital Skincare Complexion Drops Reese Witherspoon just wore to the 2024 Golden Globes.
According to a representative from the brand, makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher wanted to create a classic, simple, and soft look on Witherspoon, for which she relied exclusively on Westman Atelier. She used them to “even the skin’s tone while also hydrating and smoothing.” Given her goal of creating that aesthetic, Westman Atelier’s Complexion Drops is an obvious choice. It’s a super thin skin tint-serum hybrid that has a natural and dewy finish without being oily.
It comes in 20 shades, and though the bottle is small, I’m not even halfway through despite using it at least three times a week for the past seven months. It seems impossible, but given its almost water-like texture, it only takes two small drops to cover my entire face. Despite the small amount used, the difference is drastic; my redness is neutralized and pores look nonexistent, plus it lasts all day and photographs well (see Reese Witherspoon’s red carpet look for proof). My favorite part is that it looks like my actual natural skin. People have asked me if I just got a facial at least three times while wearing the Complexion Drops.
As I mentioned, it’s also a skincare product thanks to pomegranate extract, camellia oil, ginger root, and ginseng. These ingredients have brightening, firming, fortifying, soothing, and suppleness-improving benefits — it really is all you can ask for from a skin tint.
