Fashion month hopped across the pond last night with the start of London Fashion Week, which kicked off with an over-the-top fashion extravaganza thanks to the second edition of Vogue World. The event brought royals, head-turning maternity looks, and major star power to the British capital, but it also managed to snag some of the biggest names in fashion for a reunion of epic proportions. The show included a walk from the OG supers: Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington, who came together for an epic strut down the catwalk that not only made sure everyone knew they were still very much in charge, but also comes ahead of their upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, The Super Models.
Campbell, Crawford, Evangelista, and Turlington walked hand in hand during their walk, all wearing silver (except for Campbell). Crawford wore a sheer beaded Versace midi while Evangelista wore a billowing, sequin-covered Valentino halter dress with a collar detail. Turlington had her hair combed back and wore a brilliant, shimmering silver Fendi gown with an asymmetric neckline and Campbell's slashed, banded McQueen was finished with coordinating ankle boots.
Vogue World: London took place at the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane for a show that blended theater, fashion, and showmanship — there was everything from a comedy skit featuring Sienna Miller and James McAvoy to the world premiere of a dance piece by famed choreographer Wayne McGregor. The supers were the grand finale (fitting!) as Annie Lennox performed her tracks “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” and “There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart)."
Last year, Vogue World took over NYC's Meatpacking District and after this year's epic celebration, there's no telling what's in store for 2024.
