Step aside naked dressing because there’s a new trend in town: underwear-as-outerwear. Between Blake Lively’s peekaboo boxers and Emma Corrin’s knitted knickers, flashing your undergarments no longer qualifies as wardrobe malfunction. In fact, it’s embraced. The latest culprit to intentionally leave their undies on full display is Sydney Sweeney.

No stranger to the revealing peekaboo trend (see: exposed bra at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival), the actress arrived at the Miu Miu womenswear spring summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, giving her go-to outfit formula a fresh take. For the event, she sported a black tweed Miu Miu set that featured a cropped jacket with gold button accents and the tiniest matching low-rise short-shorts that purposefully showed off a pair of optic white Miu Miu briefs. Sydney continued the look's effortless vibe by accessorizing with gold studded earrings, a smattering of rings, a pair of towering black patent leather Mary Janes, black Miu Miu sunglasses, and a coordinating handbag.

The actress traded in her signature blown-out Hollywood curls for long platinum crimped waves that she parted down the middle, and she finished the look with dewy complexion and a subtle pink lip.

This isn't the first time the actress has worn her undergarments on the outside. During the 2023 Venice Film Festival, Sydney stepped out for the Miu Miu Women's Tales event in a pink polka-dot tulle dress that dipped below a crystal-encrusted bra. She accessorized with matching blinged-out, strappy heels, diamond drop earrings, and oval-shaped sunglasses.
