After dodging cameras and going to events together but not actually arriving together for more than two years, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are engaged, People confirmed with multiple sources. The publication notes that the duo have been rumored to be together since the summer of 2021 and Kravitz was seen with an engagement ring over the weekend as the pair attended Kendall Jenner's Halloween party together dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse from Rosemary's Baby and a baby (Tatum was the baby).
Previously, Kravitz opened up about her relationship with Tatum during a cover interview for GQ, saying that he is "just a wonderful human."
"He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," Kravitz said. "We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."
From 2019 to 2021, Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman.
“Karl’s an incredible human being,” she told Elle in 2022. “It really is less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am and still learning who I am, and that being okay. That’s the journey I’m on right now.”
Tatum was previously married to Jenna Dewan. The two share a 9-year-old daughter named Everly.
"In the beginning, it was super scary and terrifying," he told People of his divorce in February. "Your life just turns on its axis. This whole plan that you had literally just turns into sand and goes through your fingers and you're just like, 'Oh, shit. What now?'"
Kravitz and Tatum met on the set of her upcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island. She explained that eventually, they grew close because of Tatum's nurturing, protective nature.
"Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet," she said. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger."
Speaking about the project and not their romance, Tatum told Variety, "She's a perfectionist in the best possible way."
When their relationship was still speculative, sources close to the two actors said that they were very happy together.
"Their careers are a big focus and they share this passion," an insider said in the summer of 2021. "When they are off, they are very low-key. They enjoy quiet date nights with friends but most often just hang out at home. Channing is serious about Zoë."
