Angelina Jolie’s All-Black Look and Gigantic Tote Bag Couldn’t Have Been More New York

Angelina Jolie may be a SoCal girl at heart, but that didn’t stop her from easing into the new year by stepping out in the ultimate New York uniform — all-black everything — during a recent trip to the Big Apple.

Over the weekend, the actress confirmed that black-on-black will never go out of style when visiting her flagship Atelier Jolie store in the East Village. For the occasion, Jolie called on one of her signature silhouettes by bundling up in a black ankle-length trench coat complete with white, sketch-covered patches on the piece’s sleeves and bodice. A waist-cinching black belt and gold floral embroidery at the coat’s hem further elevated the closet staple, and Angelina paired it with gold and black wide-leg pants and a plunging V-neck blouse. 

As for accessories, Jolie further committed to her East Coast vibe by adding a gigantic black tote bag, pointed-toe black leather booties, and oversized black sunglasses (because what’s more East Coast than not wanting to make direct eye contact with people?). The A-lister wore her caramel-colored hair down straight with a middle part to round out her look, and she opted for a simple glam comprised of a bright complexion and a glossy pink lip.

Angelina’s outing came just days after she sported a nearly identical look when stepping out with three of her children, Pax, Zahara, and Knox (all of whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt). 

Last Wednesday, Jolie gave major rich mom energy when leaving her flagship store yet again in a black wool coat paired with wide-leg pants, leather boots, and another oversized black tote bag.
