One of the undisputed fashion icons of the last decade is, without a doubt, Anne Hathaway, thanks to a style renaissance that saw her stepping out in a myriad of legendary looks that will go down in fashion history. One of her strengths, and the reason her closet has something for everyone, is that she is a pro at modernizing classic styles for a trendy take on a tried-and-true staple.
Most recently, the actress attended a screening of her upcoming thriller Eileen, set to hit theaters Dec. 1, in a brown ribbed turtleneck dress with a fringe maxiskirt. Hathaway accessorized the sleeveless dress with dainty hoop earrings, gold bangles, and a collection of matching rings.
The actress's brown hair was styled in effortless waves and a side part, perfected by stylist to the stars Orlando Pita. Her glam included a bronze smoky eye, thick liner, and glossy lips.
Speaking of combining trends, Hathaway recently wore another look that seemed to mash up everyone's favorite 2023 trends. After initially channeling Britney Spears in her first full-denim maxiskirt and corset outfit, she slipped into a sheer red (the color of the season) lace Rodarte gown adorned with delicate rosettes along one of the shoulders.
Earlier this year, Hathaway shared the inspiration behind her style, and as it turns out, she does tap the younger generations to give her wardrobe that fresh feel. "I know this sounds like I'm super-pandering, but I'm really switched on by Gen Z," she told Vogue in an interview. "It's a fun generation when it comes to fashion."
“I’m really switched on by Gen Z," she continued. "Their relationship with [fashion], the way it’s received, it’s a really, really fun dance."
