Last night, the who’s who of British fashion gathered for the 2023 Fashion Awards, presented by Pandora in London. Between Pamela Anderson's makeup-free appearance and Amal Clooney’s orange ombré sequined gown, the industry's best showed up and out on the red carpet. Among the well-dressed stars was Anne Hathaway, who wore an archival pearly gown as a nod to honoree Valentino Garavani of Maison Valentino.

On Monday, the actress arrived on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in London donning a cream vintage Valentino couture gown from the spring 1993 collection. The look in question featured a wide scoop neckline, a textured ribbed bodice, and a tiered fringe skirt that fell to the ground. A sparkly silver chain necklace, diamond drop earrings, and white satin pointed-toe pumps provided the finishing touches to her elegant number, and at one point in the evening, she layered her gown with a long black-and-white checkered cape. It was a fitting red-carpet outfit, as the actress honored designer Valentino Garavani on stage later in the night for his legendary contributions to the industry.

“It’s vintage Valentino, and Valentino designed it thinking about spaghetti,” said Giancarlo Giammetti, who accepted the awards on behalf of Garavani, about the inspiration behind Anne’s look for the evening. "And I’ve always dreamed of being pasta,” Hathaway replied as she walked the red carpet alongside him.

As for her glam, Anne’s dark brunette hair was styled in loose curls and swept behind her shoulders, and she complimented her glowing complexion with a shimmery eye, feathered lashes, and a glossy rosy pink pout.

Later, at the awards ceremony, the British Fashion Council honored Valentino Garavani for his creative contribution to the fashion industry with the Outstanding Achievement Award, which Giancarlo Giammetti accepted on behalf of the iconic designer. The night ended with an ode to Valentino red with a host of models wearing some of the designer's most memorable red gowns on stage.
