Fans are still taking in Celine Dion's big Grammy Awards moment — now that the dust has settled with Taylor Swift (they hugged, OK?) and everyone can see that the legendary singer looks well — and sources close to the star are sharing more details about the appearance. Just days before, Dion announced that she would be releasing a documentary about her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome and fans didn't know if that was a good sign for her health or if she'd be sharing bad news, but with everything looking great for the singer, many people close to her think she could be returning to music soon.
"It was an amazing night for her. She's doing well, and the hope is that she can continue to do more and ease back in," a source shared with People.
"People will see everything she went through," the insider added regarding the documentary, which doesn't have a release date yet, but will be on Prime Video. "She's taking things step by step. [Her illness] is incurable, but she's honestly doing well and looks incredible."
What the public didn't see was the amazing reception that Dion got behind the scenes at music's biggest night. Everyone, it seems, was fanning over the star, including Oprah.
"Everybody was stopping her. She had a beautiful moment with Oprah and sang with Stevie Wonder. They were just riffing," the source continued. "Victoria Monét also stopped her. Everyone was so gracious."
During her time on the Grammys stage, Dion thanked her fans and supporters. She took a moment to remind everyone why they were there: their shared love of music.
"Thank you all. I love you right back. When I say that I'm happy to be here, I really meant it from my heart," she said. "Those who have been blessed enough to be here must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world."
