Just two days ago, Jean Paul Gaultier shared its brand new collaboration with KNWLS and today, none other than everyone's favorite dirrty diva Christina Aguilera managed to nab a piece for herself. In a new set of Instagram photos, Xtina showed off a tattoo-covered sheer gown from the collection, posing with her signature bleached-blonde hair in her face and serving fashion the only way she knows how.
According to the KWNLS London page, the collab dropped back on Sept. 9. A mere five days later, Aguilera's pick included JPG favorites, like Sailor Jerry-inspired flash tattoo graphics and nautical motifs, like waves. Of course, the Parisian house's signatures got mixed with edgy touches like Old English lettering and tribal tattoo patterns courtesy of the team-up. Aguilera showed off the dress paired with a smoky eye, light-colored lips, and long, patterned nails — and a cameo from her phone.
She captioned the dump with a tag to JPG and two emoji: a chain and a key, giving a wink to the graphics on her gown.
According to the collab's official website, the Jean Paul Gaultier and KNWLS collection "fuses the disruptive femininity and fierceness of London-based label KNWLS with the punk rebellion, grit, and glamour of French fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier." Options include corsets, bodysuits, and denim outerwear, all with JPG's trademark tailoring and KNWLS's tough-but-sweet details.
Xtina has been a loyal fan of JPG, even attending the line's fashion show back in 2019 during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. That was when Gaultier was still at the helm of his namesake brand. He stepped away in Jan. 2020 and ever since, the JPG brand has hosted other designers, like Y/Project's Glenn Martens, to interpret the famed (and beloved) heritage.
