Dua Lipa Wore Very Controversial Shoes to Hard-Launch Her New Boyfriend

Not only is Dua Lipa making headlines with her new movie, Argylle, set to hit theaters this weekend, but she's also making things a little more official with her new beau, actor Callum Turner. While the two haven't made their red carpet or Instagram debuts just yet, they have been seen together in Los Angeles. And if Hollywood has a say, a date at West Hollywood's Sushi Park is basically a statement from their reps saying that things are very much real. The two weren't just seen at the iconic sushi spot, they were also spotted holding hands together — and Lipa hard-launched the romance while wearing a pair of mesh flats from Alaïa, one of the most love-it-or-hate-it shoes that have hit stores in a long time.

The fishnet footwear included a Mary Jane strap and black mesh. The singer and actress added the controversial shoes to a pair of stone-wash jeans and a white tank top with a black trim. She finished the look with a Bottega Veneta Gemelli bag, a new style from the beloved Italian brand that's become a celebrity favorite. She pulled her hair up into a ponytail for the outing and Turner kept things low-key, too, wearing jeans and a cream-colored pullover with white sneakers.

TMZ reports that the musician and the star of Boys in the Boat were seen together at the premiere of Masters of Air. 

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Lipa opened up about dating and breaking up, saying that her last relationship “taught [her] a lot.” 

“I think I’ve had breakups in my life where I felt like the only kind of breakup you could have was when things just ended really badly,” Lipa said. “Things ending in a nice way was such a new thing … It taught me a lot.”

Prior to Turner, Lipa was linked to French filmmaker Romain Gavras. Of course, she's had other high profile beaus, including a maybe-fling with Trevor Noah, a long-term relationship with Anwar Hadid, and rumors of a romance with Jack Harlow.
