We love a fashion mash-up.

Oscar nominee Florence Pugh has never shied away from a sheer dress — it's actually one of her style go-to's — but her latest see-through outfit has a touch of sci-fi fantasy that's equal parts futuristic and fantastic. For Dune: Part Two's big promo event in Mexico City, Pugh wore a custom Galvan gown that was covered in scale-shaped mirrored embellishments. The two-piece mermaidcore 'fit consisted of a high-waisted column skirt and a bra top, both covered in tiny diamond-shaped mirrors over a sheer layer of fabric. Paired with metallic silver heels, it made for a sci-fi fashion statement that was fitting with the film's vibe.

Pugh added a diamond choker and matching earrings from Shaun Leane to the mirrored ensemble, as well as several diamond rings. She had her signature septum piercing in and had her hair pushed back, save for a swathe of ice blonde that was swept over her forehead. For glam, the actress opted for a bronze smoky eye, feathery lashes, and a matte rosy lip color.

Pugh plays Princess Irulan in Dune: Part Two, which arrives in movie theaters worldwide on Mar. 1. While her character is making her debut in the movie's second installment, she joins Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet from the first film, as well as Austin Butler, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.

In Frank Herbert's novels, Irulan offers the narrative framework for the story. Director Denis Villeneuve did away with that, so fans aren't exactly sure how she'll fit into his films. According to ScreenRant, "Herbert made her an ancillary character in service to Paul's storyline, but it seems like the film will give her more agency than being a dutiful wife."

The site adds that it seems likely Irulan will be much deeper and more layered in the movie, writing that she's "a sort of investigative reporter searching for answers about House Atreides" and that the changes make her "much more fascinating than her motivations in the novel to be a dutiful wife."

Irulan is a much more major character in Dune Messiah and Children of Dune, so if there are more Dune movies on the way, viewers can expect much more of her in the sequels. Dune: Part Two is based on the second half of Herbert's first Dune novel, however, there is no news on whether or not more films will be coming.
