Longtime Kardashian fans have followed Kourtney Kardashian-Barker's pregnancy journey from start to finish — it's all documented on her family's reality show — but on the latest episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kourt offered deeper insight into everything leading up to her latest pregnancy and the birth of her and Travis Barker's son, Rocky Thirteen.
"So much love, so much prayer went into this, and I just couldn't be happier for this blessing," Kris Jenner, Kourtney's mother, said in a confessional scene.
Kourtney shared the exact day that she conceived Rocky, echoing a sentiment shared by many people trying to have a baby: it happens when you stop "trying." Leading up to this week's episode, Kourtney had been documenting her experience with IVF and all the complications that came with the process.
"It happened on Valentine's Day," Kourtney said. "I mean, people would always tell say to us, 'When you stop trying, it's just going to happen.'"
"We stopped doing IVF probably two months before our wedding and so it took a year for all those hormones and chemicals to get out of my system," she added. "We were not trying whatsoever. I wasn't even checking my ovulation anymore. We decided to put it in God's hands and thought it was just not happening. We were accepting of it and then... God's plan."
Kourtney finished by saying that it "truly feels like a miracle being able to be pregnant and have a baby with the love of my life."
In addition to Rocky, who arrived one day after his due date of Halloween, Barker is father to a 20-year-old son named Landon, a 17-year-old daughter named Alabama, and a stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya. He shares them with his ex, Shanna Moakler. Kardashian-Barker has two sons, Reign Aston and Mason Dash, and a daughter, Penelope, whom she shares with her ex and Kardashians co-star, Scott Disick.
