It's not clear why the people in charge of Fashion Week decided to have the couture shows right in the middle of awards season, but it's just another chance for the celebrities to show off their style and slay their 'fits between the Golden Globes, Emmy Awards, and the Grammys (not to mention things like the Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards on the horizon). Kylie Jenner, who unceremoniously snuck into the Globes and skipped out on the red carpet altogether, arrived at the Valentino couture show in Paris today with who may just be the best plus-one, ever: a mini-me Stormi Webster, who wore a matching outfit to coordinate with her mom.
Stormi, who's about to turn 6 years old, arrived at the Valentino presentation in an all-black ensemble that matched her mom's, right down to the squared-off sunglasses. Kylie wore a long black strapless gown with a fluffy, fringed coat and her daughter wore what appeared to be the exact same piece, only shrunken down to kids' sizing. Stormi finished her look with a black bag and both mother and daughter wore gold earrings. Kylie's were over-the-top big and embellished and Stormi's were slightly more low-key.
It's not the first (and probably not the last) time that Kylie has made an appearance at the couture shows. Last year, she made headlines when she arrived at the Schiaparelli show wearing a dress that featured an almost too-real uncanny valley lion's head on it. The same dress walked in the show as part of the brand's Spring-Summer 2023 couture collection. Naomi Campbell wore a similar taxidermy-inspired 'fit on the runway in the form of a black coat with a wolf's head on the shoulder.
