No crumbs were left in the process of Margot Robbie's Barbie press tour looks. Where do we begin? From her patterned pucci minidress to her black sequin Schiaparelli dress, it’s nearly impossible to choose our favorite — and we're not alone. Even the queen of channeling iconic dolls from our childhood is lost for words on picking her best Barbie.
Although the actress ended her Barbie streak earlier this month, she returned to her repertoire of Mattel-approved looks for the 33rd annual Gotham Awards in New York City on Sunday night. Channeling the 1964 Barbie from the Black Magic Ensemble collection, she slipped into an all-black, all-Prada outfit comprised of a black strapless mididress and a matching sheer cape with a bow. A pair of black Manolo Blahnik peep-toe heels, coordinating leather gloves, a metallic gold Prada clutch, and dainty pearl earrings provided the finishing touches to her retro LBD.
Beauty-wise, the blonde bombshell mimicked Barbie’s hair with a high-ponytail updo with flipped-out ends and side-swept bangs. As for her glam, she accentuated her glowing complexion with feathered lashes, rosy cheeks, and a glossy pink pout.
During her interview with People, Robbie shared that she doesn't "know about my favorite [Barbie]” adding, “But this look was Ruth Handler, the creator of Barbie's, favorite Barbie look. This is a Barbie from 1964, and Ruth Handler said it was her favorite.”
As for her plus one for the evening, Robbie's husband, Tom Ackerley, kept things casual in a navy blue suit sans tie paired with black dress shoes.
