It appears Margot Robbie crossed over to Barbieland and is never coming back to the real world. Despite the Barbie press tour wrapping up five months ago, Margot has continued her parade of perfectly pink looks. Case in point? Her recent appearances have included several Mattel-approved looks (see: 1964 Barbie from the Black Magic Ensemble collection). And yesterday’s pretty-in-pink moment is further proof that Margot will always be in Barbie mode.
On Tuesday night, the actress was photographed arm and arm with her husband, Tom Ackerley, in New York City, reminding us all that her Barbie era isn’t over. For the outing, she wore an all-pink leather Versace ensemble featuring a plunging, cropped jacket and a high-waisted miniskirt. A pair of sparkly pink stilettos and an even sparklier pink handbag provided the finishing touches to her Barbie-inspired ‘fit.
As for her glam, she chose a dusting of pink eye shadow and a swipe of pink lip gloss and blush while she styled her blonde locks with voluminous blown-out curls and a middle part.
For his part, Tom sported his take on Ken, which included a cream turtleneck layered with a black peacoat and paired with navy blue trousers and black dress shoes.
Just days prior to her pretty-in-pink date night Barbie look, the actress arrived at the 33rd annual Gotham Awards channeling a 1964 doll. For the evening, she donned head-to-toe Prada in a black strapless midi dress with a matching sheer cape — a nod to the doll's 1964 "Black Magic" collection.
