Ariana Grande's snatched high ponytail is just as famous as she is. The singer's signature hairstyle has become so synonymous with Grande that on the rare occasion she switches up her look, it always makes headlines. A few recent examples include the platinum ponytail from her Sweetener album cover and the handful of times she wore her hair down on her Sweetener World Tour this past summer.
Grande didn't go ponytail-free at the 2020 Grammy Awards, but she dressed up her ponytail for music's biggest night. Ahead of walking the red carpet, the singer dyed her ponytail platinum blonde. Grande's new hair color is dark at the roots while the tail is full-on platinum blonde.
Along with the fresh hair color, Grande's hairstylist Josh Liu also gave the singer's ponytail a new life. He left one face-framing tendril out of the updo and wrapped a piece of platinum blonde hair from the tail around the base of the pony. Liu also flipped out the ends, adding a retro vibe to the singer's style.
While Grande experimented with her signature hairstyle, she stuck with her go-to makeup look for the night. Her makeup artist Daniel Chinchilla gave Grande a dramatic cat-eye, an unbelievably glowy highlight, and finished things off with nude lip gloss.

While Grande didn't take home any Grammys this year, her platinum blonde ponytail and gorgeous makeup deserve an award all in their own right.
