Wishing Dakota Johnson a Happy 27th Birthday!

Happy birthday, Dakota Johnson! The star of the film adaptation of international bestseller, Fifty Shades of Grey, turns 27 today, and to celebrate we've rounded up the best mother-daughter duos on Hollywood, as a nod to Johnson's famous mom, Melanie Griffith.

Johnson hails from Hollywood royalty, counting Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson as her parents. It's no surprise, then, that the fashionable young star has had a hand in acting or modeling since she was a young girl; she was even crowned Miss Golden Globe in 2006, serving as the first second-generation honoree in the title's history.

Johnson was spotted in Vancouver this spring and traveling around the coast of France over the summer, but not for play. The natural beauty was on location, filming the second installment if the Fifty Shades series with co-star Jamie Dornan, Fifty Shades Darker. The movie, which will hit theaters Valentine's Day 2016, focuses on Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele rekindling their relationship, only to have it threatened again, this time by Grey's unstable ex-submissive Leila.

Johnson and Dornan were also filming scenes for Fifty Shades Freed out in Vancouver, making sure that their devoted fans get their Fifty Shades trilogy fix as soon as possible.
