Despite keeping their family life under wraps (we have yet to find out the name and gender of their fourth baby) Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds love to give fans a glimpse into their personal lives on social media, whether that's in the form of a loving birthday tribute or a good ol' fashioned trolling session.
Reynolds and his fellow football team owner Rob McElhenney filmed a hilarious video acceptance speech for Sunday's Creative Arts Emmys to celebrate their show, Welcome to Wrexham, winning five awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. While the actor can be seen wearing a velvet three-piece suit in the video (along with his Deadpool mask), Reynolds shared a behind-the-scenes look at what he was really wearing on the bottom, courtesy of his "Instagram boyfriend," aka wife Blake Lively.
The Gossip Girl star took a photo of her husband's suit and slipper's ensemble in what appears to be an elevator. Reynolds leaned up against the mirrored wall, holding onto his super hero mask while crossing his legs. Lively can be seen taking the photo in the reflection while wearing an oversized gray robe. Reynolds captioned the image with a camera emoji colon "my Instagram boyfriend," referring to Lively. "Slippers by 'fuck it. They won't see below the waist.'" He also tagged his wife in the Story.
The show also received the outstanding cinematography for a reality program and outstanding picture editing for an unstructured reality program awards on Sunday. Reynolds unsurprisingly delivered the speech with his signature sarcastic humor.
"Mr. Lively couldn’t be here to accept this broken Emmy, so he sent me on his behalf," he said to the camera while holding an Emmy (which was broken and borrowed from friend Hugh Jackman). "First and foremost, Wrexham, we love you. Thank you for letting Rob and the other guy tell your story.”
“I’d also like to thank the Academy, for this honor and for not asking us to attend the televised awards show with the real celebrities," he joked. “I’d also like to thank FX and Disney for their support, and in exchange, Mr. Lively promises to not fuck up my next movie."
