No measure of time will be enough, but Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse are starting with forever.
According to multiple outlets, the couple is engaged after five years of dating. “They are engaged. They both want to be married," a source at People explained, adding: "It’s important for them." Another insider at Entertainment Tonight told the outlet, "They’re incredibly happy and excited for their future together as a couple and family."
The news comes just days after Waterhouse and Pattinson sparked engagement rumors when the singer-slash-model stepped out wearing a diamond ring on her left hand — and a month following their pregnancy announcement. Back in November, Suki took the stage at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico and revealed that she was expecting her first child with the actor, who reportedly "can't wait to be a dad."
“He’s so ready,” a source told People. “His relationship with Suki is incredible. He feels very lucky.”
The soon-to-be-parents have been romantically linked since 2018 after they were spotted showing PDA in London, but they have remained notoriously private about their relationship. During an interview with The Sunday Times in 2019, Pattinson offered his reasoning for keeping his love life out of the spotlight. "If you let people in, it devalues what love is," he said. "If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you'd think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall, it ends better."
