From sparkly green dresses to over-the-knee snake boots, Taylor Swift has been dropping sartorial Easter eggs over the last few weeks that point to the impending re-release of her 2017 album, Reputation. Swifties immediately caught on, and fan theories started circulating online soon thereafter. Some have even gone as far to speculate that she'll be announcing the newest Taylor's Version album during her next Eras tour stop in Tokyo, because she recently added Japanese subtitles on the "Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Some may call it a stretch, but never underestimate the Swifties.
Regardless, Tay continued her parade of Reputation-coded looks on Tuesday, when she stepped out for a girls' night in New York City. The singer-songwriter was spotted arriving for dinner at Nobu with pals Brittany Mahomes and Cara Delevingne. For the excursion, Swift wore a little black dress with billowing sleeves and a flouncy skirt, which she styled with matching stockings and platform boots.
But, it was her accessories that launched a full-blown Swiftie investigation: Tay wore a gold chain belt, matching layered necklaces, dainty earrings, and a smattering of coordinating rings. The aforementioned black-and-gold color palette was a large part of her aesthetic during the Reputation tour.
Mahomes, who cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs to victory alongside her new bestie on Sunday, wore an asymmetric black-and-white houndstooth skirt and jacket styled with black booties and a white Chanel purse. Delevingne also followed the color scheme in a black velvet tuxedo-style suit and matching chunky boots.
The model and actress joined pals Swift and Mahomes in the suite at Sunday's game in Buffalo, where Jason Kelce also cheered on his younger brother Travis Kelce (aka Taylor Swift's boyfriend) by taking off his shirt and chugging beer in the stands. On Wednesday's episode of his and Travis's podcast New Heights, the Philadelphia Eagles center revealed that his wife Kylie Kelce wasn't too happy about his shenanigans, as she warned him before the game to be on his "best behavior because we were meeting Taylor [Swift]."
But Travis assured his brother that he made a lasting impression on Swift, saying, “Tay said she absolutely loved you."
