The Dune: Part Two press tour is giving Zendaya a chance to wear some of the best avant-garde fashion that she and her team can get her hands on. No stranger to stunning on the red carpet, something about the sci-fi vibes of Dune is giving the star a chance to wear looks that veer away from stars' usual play-it-safe playbook — not that Zendaya was ever one to tone down anything when she steps out for the flashbulbs.
For the star's latest photocall at the Shangri La Hotel in Paris, she wore look 20 from Alaïa's Fall 2024 collection, which was an asymmetric white dress with a swirl-shaped bodice that wrapped around her torso and appeared to defy gravity.
The white dress included a light-as-air high-low skirt that fell to the floor to create a mini train. She finished the fro-yo fashion with a pair of pointy white pumps and skipped out on a necklace, leaving her collarbones and shoulders bare. She pushed her hair back to reveal bare ears, too, offering absolutely nothing to take away from the sculptural swoop of her dress.
Zendaya was joined by co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and Rebecca Ferguson. Dune: Part Two was originally going to arrive in theaters in October 2023 but was pushed back several times because of last year's dual Hollywood strikes.
During a recent interview, Zendaya shared that she was "too nervous" to speak to one of her new co-stars, Pulp Fiction star Christopher Walken.
"I was too nervous. What do I say? I mean, what do I say? I could've said, ''What kind of doughnuts do you like?'' Now, I know that," she said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! "What do you say? You know what I mean? I remember us in the trailer; everybody was having fun playing music, and as soon as he came ... practicing my lines."
