Back at the end of 2019 (remember that?), Anne Hathaway welcomed baby no. 2 with her husband, fellow actor Adam Schulman. Although she announced that she welcomed a son, she didn't offer many other details — including the new arrival's name. Today, during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Hathaway finally let viewers know that her second child is named Jack.
"Now I have a beautiful almost-11-month-old boy," she started, explaining that she was pregnant while she filmed her latest movie, The Witches. "But I was pregnant when I made The Witches, so technically he's all over that performance."
When co-host Kelly Ripa asked her about her kids getting along with one another, Hathaway casually tossed out his name.
"No coping, just love," she said. "Now Jack's big enough to wrestle with, and that's brought a new element to their relationship that's really cute."
Hathaway also spoke about hiding her pregnancy from the film's costume designer, Joanna Johnston. When Johnson suggested nipped-waist silhouettes and more fitted clothing, Hathaway said she scrambled to come up with reasons as to why she preferred to wear looser outfits.
"She goes, 'And I really want you to have a really tight waist.' And I had just found out that I was pregnant and I was like, 'Mmm, no. No, I don't think so. No,'" Hathaway said. "And she was like, 'Well, why?' And I was like, 'Eh, you know, I just know myself.' I'm scrambling for a reason. I won't be as free if I'm constrained around my middle, so we just better make everything very loose."
Before giving birth, Hathaway was open about her troubles with conception, letting her followers know that she was struggling.
In an Instagram post, she wrote, "For everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies."
