At this point, a lingerie-clad Dakota Johnson is simply a staple of provocative cinema. Fifty Shades of Grey, anyone?
In the trailer for Annie Clark (St. Vincent) and Carrie Brownstein's meta film The Nowhere Inn, Johnson (who plays herself) appears on a bed wearing a set of barely there sheer, black cut-out lingerie alongside a similarly outfitted Clark.
"We want you to film us," Clark tells Brownstein, who's collecting footage for a not-so-verité documentary about the musician. So, Fifty Shades … Filmed?
In addition to her cameo in The Nowhere Inn, Johnson's current production schedule is stacked with high-profile projects. The 31-year-old shot Elena Ferrante's adaptation of The Lost Daughter opposite Olivia Colman last year and recently wrapped filming Netflix's Persuasion. Earlier this summer, it was reported that Johnson would appear in indie drama Daddio with Sean Penn.
The Nowhere Inn opens in theaters and VOD Sept. 17.
