The best thing to do during breakup (and we've all been there) is lean on your girls (or guys) for support. Whether you're crying over emo movies like The Notebook and The Last Song or throwing a girls' night out, there's no better medicine than spending time with the gal pals. Sophie Turner has been closely following the breakup regimen ever since her split from ex-husband Joe Jonas by hanging out with her friends, including fellow Joe-ex, Taylor Swift.
Now that Swift is back on tour in Buenos Aires (with a certain NFL tight end BTW), Turner tapped a different friend to join her for a night on the town. On Sunday, Turner and actress Dakota Johnson were photographed looking sophisticated in Midtown Manhattan. Turner layered a black tee under a long black trench coat, which she accessorized with a greenish-gray knitted scarf and a gold pendant statement necklace. On the bottom, she opted for black trousers and matching boots and added a pink quilted Louis Vuitton purse for good measure.
Her blonde hair was worn straight with a middle part and her glam included a shimmery smoky eye and a pink lip.
For her part, Johnson looked equally as sleek in an all-black look that included a peacoat, a matching top, a pencil skirt with the highest middle slit, and knee-high boots with chunky heels.
Yesterday also marked Turner's return to social media following the public breakup, and her first post back was a video talking about the Positive Power Plan, an initiative that aims to spread awareness surrounding the global climate crisis.
“Hi everyone! I have been asked to spread the word about positive power,” she said in the interview. “And on doing the research and noticing the very clear effects of global warming, it’s something that I really wanted to raise awareness for.”
Turner then went on to encourage her fans to also support the cause by saying “So we need to let our leaders know this, that this is the future that we want for ourselves and for those we love, our children and our grandchildren."
"It’s time we all spread the word and push for a Positive Power Plan," she captioned the post. "The time to transition to clean energy is now. When we speak out together, we can accelerate Positive Power. Check out the link in my bio to learn more."
